I loved today. It was the first truly relaxing day I've had in quite some time. I woke up when I felt like it, ate breakfast (leftover pizza) at my leisure, went to see "Mousetrap" (the Hockaday/St. Marks fall play) with Chungy, picked up "Maskerade" and "Soul Music" at Borders, treated myself to ice cream at Baskin Robins, and lazily drank a Tazoberry (the only non-coffee beverage available at Starbucks; I became rather attached to them in summer school) at P*Star while reading "Hogfather", without a care in the world. I then drove in a homeward direction, got thoroughly lost, and managed to find my way back through dumb luck.

I've decided that I really love driving, deep down. Well, just driving alone, really. I hate driving other people. You can sing as loud as you want (Aida, Moulin Rouge, and Men at Arms) and go wherever you like. I doubt if my mom would have let me go to Borders or spend so long doing absolutely nothing at P*Star. And I wouldn't have gotten lost, which would have lost me the opportunity to belt "We are the champions" when I finally started recognizing landmarks and The Way Home. Tomorrow I plan on going to M.J. Designs and picking up a new sketchbook, as my current one has six pages left, and possibly getting some yarn, as I've developed a rather guilty addiction to knitting through my role in "Ten Little Indians". Yeah, driving is okay. And if I ever drive an energy-efficent, environmentally friendly compact like the Prius instead of a gas-guzzling minivan, it'll be even better!
