::squeaks::

Okay, back to feeling special again. I hadn't even really been aware of it, but my feelings of self-worth as an actress and singer went down quite a bit when I didn't make the cut of the A Cappella and Theatre groups I tried out for earlier this year. But today, all has been restored. In my Songwriting class, Prof. Weesner was comparing a piece of funk music with Coldplay with Schubert's Gretchen am Spinnrade, and the guy next to me, Rob(?), turned to me and whispered "Which one was Gretchen?" I offhandedly sang the first two lines (in my exquisitely pronounced German, ha), and he said, in a tone of great respect, "You have such a good voice."

It caught me by surprise, as I barely even knew the guy and I didn't think my mini-performance was that impressive, as I was trying to sing opera under my breath as not to disturb the class.

Come to think of it, I think this was the guy who asked "When will we see this on Broadway?" when I sang "Whatever Happened to Honor" in class.

Just goes to show what goes on when you think no one's paying attention.
