The Cult of Lincoln

Tolerance.org presents a U.S. Map of Hate Groups. In one of my cities, Racist Skinheads and Black Separatists. In the other, Neo-Nazis.

It's been 37 years since Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated. I feel as though we've failed him. Reading back through many of his speeches yesterday, I was moved to tears by the beauty of his vision and the truth of his words. And then I get linked to stuff like this and I think about how far we still have to go. "The arc of history is long, but it bends toward justice," he said. Sometimes I just need to be reminded of that.
