The Cult of Lincoln

Thursday, July 21, 2005

It feels weird posting this in the wake of what happened in London today, but in my continued celebration of all things British (or Welsh, rather), Jasper Fforde's The Big Easy comes out today. Those unfamiliar with Jasper Fforde should acquaint themselves immediately, starting with The Eyre Affair.

In other British news, a group of teachers has proposed that the word "fail" be banned from use in British classrooms and replaced with the phrase "deferred success" to avoid demoralizing pupils.

*goes off to watch more Doctor Who*
