Sandra Day O'Connor retired. Couldn't she have waited until Bush was out of office? She's a moderate conservative!

So how much longer are we going to have the right to choose? Are we supposed to entrust our reproductive freedom to a man who appointed Bolton to the U.N.? By what majority of Senators would be necessary to oppose the appointment? Urgh, I thought it was just Rehnquist that would be replaced over Bush's term, and he's conservative already.
