Just watched Thursday's Smallville. The writers seriously need to lay off the whole "staking" thing. I expected the episode to end with a newly-strengthened Drusilla carrying Fine's body out of the fortress.

Edit: Or for Brooke Nevin to grab an enormous hammer and crush him bones to powder. More consistent with the circumstances of his "death" and all that. *grins*
