![]() Hey, Alanis! Say one of your ears got infected shortly after you got them pierced, and you've been faithfully taking care of it for months with Bactine and Neosporin. Then upon returning home for Winter Break, you went to the dermatologist to get allergy testing, only to find out that it was not Nickel as you suspected you were allergic to, but two substances that happen to be found in Neosporin and Bactine.
I'd say that's ironic. Priscilla said at 11:38 PM Comments:
Glad to hear you figured it out! If your ears actually get infaced don't waste your money on Neosporin or Bactine. Neosporin and Bactine do no good for infections from piercings. They're meant more surface wounds, like scrapes, not puncture wounds, like piercings. Sea salt soaks help clear pierced things up pretty nicely. Yay for osmosis!

That made me laugh. A lot. Then I felt kinda bad. Hee. At least now you know, and can go wear cheap, fun jewelry if you so choose.
