Holy cow! The Harry Potter release party in Union Square just got about fifty trillion times cooler! I knew Jim Dale (performed the US edition audio books) would be in attendance, but we're also getting:

New York offers so many fabulous possibilities. You're going to have a blast! Also, Judy Kelly highly recommended that you go online to try to get tickets to Shakespeake in the Park in Central Park--I believe it's Romeo and Juliet but with lots of water...It closes July 14th according to Judy--Mum
Perhaps Jim Dale will be there because he is directly involved with the HP series but not the other authors...

(NYSE: BKS), the world’s largest bookseller, today announced that it will reschedule Disney Book Group’s bestselling children’s fantasy authors, originally scheduled for Friday, July 20, at the Barnes & Noble Union Square store (33 East 17th Street at Union Square) in Manhattan. The “Tale Spinners” event was to include authors Dave Barry, Ridley Pearson, Eoin Colfer, Rick Riordan, Jonathan Stroud, Cinda Williams Chima, and Rob Kidd. Barnes & Noble said that each author will be individually rescheduled at a later date.
I bought a signed copy of Thursday Next "Something Rotten" for $7 at a bookstore in Denver. I think I win.
