Saw "The Chateau", which was amusing. Yay for people who speak French badly! You will be happy to know that one of the previews was for Willem Dafoe's "Auto Focus" (I think that's what the name was...)
Spent the rest of the evening with Marcelina, Rachel, Bethyliz, Zimo, and Chungy. Chungy is the only one among us that does not have a LiveJournal. Silly girl. Anyway, Chungy left after the movie to do homework and such (Loser!), and the rest of us went to Kosta's, as we weren't able to go after seeing "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", and we were craving Greek food. I taught my friends of the wonders of saganaki, Avgolemeno soup, and chicken souvlaki. Yay. Then we went back to Marcelina's, where we watched "Father Ted" on Tivo. Dougal needs to be added to our Husband of the Month club. He's too cute! You just want to give him a hug... *squees* So that's my evening. I've finished Brenna's birthday card, but WSFTP is being stupid and not letting me upload anything. ::kicks:: Hopefully I'll be able to get it to you tomorrow morning. Yay. Priscilla said at 11:20 PM Five? On Friday? Quelle horreur!
1. What's your favorite piece of clothing that you currently own? Either my "Percy is God and Boba Fett" shirt or my Lucy (Peanuts) shirt. I loff them. And the jeans I'm wearing now? I could wear them forever. I adore these jeans! ::hugs legs:: 2. What piece of clothing do you most want to acquire? New Tanjashirts! And junk for my nonexistent cosplaying exploits! Hey, Seniors are allowed to dress up for Halloween, I wonder what I'll do... 3. What piece of clothing can you not bring yourself to get rid of? Why? hmm.... A shirt from a 5k race in 1997. It has a duck on it and the word "Quack Attack". This shirt is ratty and fading, but I love it. 4. What piece of clothing do you look your best in? Exactly what I'm wearing now, acutally. My Lucy shirt and my dark jeans. I am dead sexy. 5. What has been your biggest fashion accident? I don't have fashion accidents. Everything I wear is on purpose, believe it or not. Freshman year, I was elected "Most Fashionable" as a joke. I loff our Student Council. XD Priscilla said at 1:18 PM

No, Faith. We do not burn copies of Good Omens, no matter how much we [meaning "you"] dislike Neil Gaiman. Bad Faith. No biscuit. XD
But curiosity gets the best of me -- were you reading the book on the camping trip and get fed up with it, or did you bring the book for this specific purpose? Does this happen often? Priscilla said at 9:41 PM ...what I need to listen to is The Beatles. While my love for their music knows no bounds, I don't get as much of an urge to sing along. Lip sync, yes, but sing, no. Album of choice at the moment is Sgt. Pepper. Yaaay.
Music Priscilla has forbidden: Priscilla said at 9:33 PM Must... sing.... can't.... ::dies::
I hate this. Priscilla said at 7:55 PM OC Networking can be scary, yet satisfying.
Priscilla said at 7:11 PM Rebecca -- you know I heart you utterly! I considered putting something along the lines of Rebecca/Ann/Ashley/Mimi/Faith/Cassie/Jo/etc, but I knew I'd forget someone incredibly important, so I chickened out. You were the first person on the list! Don't feel sad, because you are loffed! Mad schnoogles to all left out, because Priscellie is a bad person.

Ha, this is pretty true. (Actually, the line might have been a bit longer than that...) Good thing I was there 2 hours early. Muah.
And here you can read probably the most accurate review of Good Omens I've seen: "Two great writers for the price of one, alternating passages of prose that will make you grab perfect strangers and read aloud to them." ::sighs with Neil!love:: Last night, I had a fairly sleepless evening, as I kept coughing myself awake. Unable to get back to sleep, I reread most of "The Kindly Ones", which is probably my favourite in the Sandman series (though I'll want to reread the lot before you can quote me on that). Yaay, Neil. I keep reading descriptions of your book signings in your journal, and I wonder if you remember me and Natalie and the tin of cookies we gave you. Or when I made you say Lincoln is better than Wilson. Or when Natalie and I became some of the only people in the several hundred-strong line to hug you. Yeah, you probably don't. But oh well. I can pretend you do, anyway. XD Hearts for Neil. Yayfun. Priscilla said at 9:32 PM 12 things that annoy you:

Priscilla said at 2:00 PM Good news! I don't have vocal chord hemmoraging -- just a bacterial throat infection, which can be fixed up with a Z-pack and other fun medication. If I don't sing a note until Monday, chances are I'll have my voice back. This is much appreciated news, because this morning I sounded like Elaine Stritch. The only role I could have landed in this morning's condition was Vera, from Maime.
But... not singing a note? Good gravy. That's close to impossible! Whenever I find myself surrounded by heavy background noise, I automatically start singing selections from "Men at Arms" and "Bat Boy" under my breath. In my car, singing is second-nature. How does one survive without singing? In my voice lesson today, Mrs. Glaros and I went through selections of Dido and Aeneas, trying to pick out potential audition material, and I was just itching to sing along with the piano. ::sigh:: Fast forward my life to Monday, please. I want my voice back. Priscilla said at 1:45 PM

Yay, finished the drawing for Brenna's card! Go me! ::starts CGing merrily::
Priscilla said at 9:37 PM I'm upset. This morning, when driving to school, I decided to wake up my voice by belting out loud segments from "I, Comma". Because phlem is a fact of life for a singer (especially a marginally sick one), I had my Kleenex ready. To my horror, I saw blood. Okay, not a lot of blood. Actually a rather small amount of blood, but still enough to scare the pants off me. I went to Mrs. Glaros' room (my voice teacher) after our assembly, and she suggested that I talk to a vocal doctor, as I could possibly have hemmoraging in my vocal cords. Just dandy. Fortunately, this only happens when I try to sing, oddly enough. I called my mom, and she made an appointment for Wednesday. In the meantime, I'm trying not to talk much.
And that, Mrs. McCullough, is why I'm missing your class the day after tomorrow. This makes me even more annoyed that all my singing auditions are in the next two weeks. Am I going to have any time at all to heal? Fortunately, because Mrs. Glaros is the one auditioning me for "Dido and Aeneas" (she already has me pegged as a Sorceress, I believe), she'll understand my inability to squawk out an audition piece. And Mr. Blaydes has heard me sing before, so I still might get a reasonable role in his musical, but I can never be sure. I think I'll drown my sorrows in pizza. I've been craving Domino's deep dish canadian bacon and black olive for about two months. Priscilla said at 7:48 PM You still reading this, Sian? If so, would you mind telling me the new address for your blog? Thankees.

Grrr, blogback is down again. I think I'll switch to dotcomments, after all. Hail self-hosted commenting systems!
Priscilla said at 4:48 PM Why, why, why do I get a cold in the few days before auditons? Hockaday is being idiotic and holding auditions for absolutely everything during the first week of school. Now I get to try out for "Red White and Swing" (the Winter musical) and "Dido and Aeneas" with no high notes and a garbled belt. Kill me now. Thank god I have another week (or possibly longer) to recover my voice for the auditions for Jesuit's fall play. To be announced the first week in Sept.
Alas, woe is me. I have chosen to blame this on... ::spins around blindfolded:: my sister and her friend RJ (who looks remarkably like Jimmy Bond). A few nights ago, they took me to a comedy club, where cigarette smoke hung in the air like a London pea-soup fog. It was barely tolerable when I was there (I spent about an hour in the shower afterwards, re-shampooing my hair and scrubbing my skin raw to get rid of the smell), and I woke up the next morning with the sniffles. I assumed it was just allergies. Now it's getting worse. Grr. Priscilla said at 4:39 PM Does anyone know how to get rid of that annoying space between the number and the "x" (formerly "comment"). It's cramping my groove.

I want to be Aeneas! ::snickets:: I haven't gotten the chance to sing like that since my 8th grade Music Man quartet-bass days (and singing along with Ziddler in "Like A Virgin"). Of course, all the soprano parts (Dido, Belinda, the witches, etc) sound equally fun. I could go either way. Whatever part I get, I'm going to enjoy myself!

1. What is your current occupation? Is this what you chose to be doing at this point in your life? Why or why not? Unemployed student. Har. Actually, I occasionally sell my photography, so I could be considered a professional photographer. ::shrugs:: 2. If time/talent/money were no object, what would your dream occupation be? Broadway actress, perhaps? Of course, working for ILM would be a lot more feasable, and still awesome. Still, love of the theatre runs in my veins. [Zim: like radioactive rubber pants! Do not ignore these veins!...] 3. What did/do your parents do for a living? Has this had any influence on your career choices? My dad is an architect, and while my mom has had architectural training, she's a homemaker. This has influenced me in the sense that I have been absolutely forbidden from going into architecture. 4. Have you ever had to choose between having a career and having a family? ::stares:: I'm 17! 5. In your opinion, what is the easiest job in the world? What is the hardest? Why? Aortas and arteries all entertwine. They'll beat so much stronger than they could apart, With chambers of muscle to hustle the love in our heart. Good gravy, I love that musical. Priscilla said at 3:58 PM Woo! Go me! I just met with my art teacher for next year, Juliet McCullough, to decide which Studio Art class I should go in to. After seeing my portfolio from Parsons and my photography work (and a few CGs), she put me in AP Studio Art, meaning I placed out of Studio Art 1 and 2. Two years of art classes in one month! Go me! ::grooves:: She also said that I practically have half of my work cut out for me to begin with, as well, because my previous work would easily qualify for the "Breadth" requirement. I just have my "Concentration" to do now. Oh, I'm thrilled. Plus, this fits into my schedule perfectly. Topics in Advanced Mathematics (Honors level), AP Computer Science (Java), AP Physics B, whatever English courses I get in to (the registrar refused to tell me. I find out at book distribution tomorrow. Grr), AP Studio Art, and Advanced Photography. Gravy. Plus, AP Studio Art is considered a "solid", so I won't seem to colleges that I'm slacking off. Har! Quote of the Day: "Do you have cities in Texas?" --Stephanie, at Parsons Priscilla said at 8:33 PM ... Holy gods! I just looked at Theatre Three's website, and it says that "Bat Boy" runs from 4/24 to 5/31. Good lord on a stick! Is that just weekends, or a show every night? My mom tells me that it's probably just weekends, but I think I'm going to call my aunt and make sure. Of course, since the Jesuit spring musical would be the same time, there's no way I could be in both. It's seeming less and less likely by the minute. Will I want all those weekends spoken for right before I graduate? Doubtful. Drat.

Priscilla said at 9:29 PM Seej says: "Caved in and bought the LotR DVD. So much for holding out until the extended version is released in November...*mourns her lack of willpower*"
... What extended version? Dude, if I had known that, I would have waited! Waaaah, why does no one tell me these things? ::kicks things:: Priscilla said at 1:59 PM ::dies:: Auditions for "Dido and Aeneas" are in 11 days. I get to memorize an aria of my choice. "Lament", if I want to be Dido. Good gravy. I wonder if Mrs. Glaros wants it in English or German? The CD she burned for all of us is in English, so I guess I'll go with that...
Priscilla said at 1:44 PM I'm relatively upset. While in NY and the ensuing college visits and Martha's Vineyard stuff, I obviously didn't get much chance to sing. I could sing quietly to myself when surrounded by enough background noise, but I never really got to belt my lungs out, like I do at home (in my car, ha). I was incredibly cross to find that the high belt I had been working on for three months is practically gone now. Hiss! Hopefully, it will come back soon with some work, but it's still annoying. I can't sing along with "Bat Boy" as easily ("Inside Your Heart" is deceptively high in some places), and I have to bring most of my MAA stuff down a bit in order to sing it decently. Grrr. Back to work. Of course, the Bat Boy stuff might be irrelevant now. My aunt Janet spoke with some of the Theatre Three guys, and it's going to play in April. The Jesuit spring show is early May. I'm praying that Theatre Three rehearsals are held at some bizarre time so that they wouldn't conflict, but I doubt if that's going to happen. While "Bat Boy" is one of my favourite musicals, I love Mrs. Felice, and I wouldn't want to desert her. Stupid moral dillemas.
Meanwhile, my Fall/Winter theatre season looks promising, as Mrs. Glaros has organized an easily manageable schedule for "Dido and Aeneas". I'm waiting for Mrs. Felice to call me back regarding the Jesuit fall production, but I don't imagine it will conflict with anything. Spring will be the real challenge. Priscilla said at 1:31 PM Yayfun! I got to see Chungy, Marcelina, and Lizziebeth again finally! We all met at Sleeny's house, where I gave her the book of Paul McCartney paintings I alluded to in NY. We went to "Read My Lips", a French movie about a deaf girl who gets in a relationship with an ex-con. I saw that the theatre's (The Magnolia, at the corner of Lennon and McCartney--actually Lemon and McKinney) midnight movie at the moment is "Amelie", one of my favourite movies, so I'm excited. They're also bringing back "The Producers", "Ziggy Stardust", and a bunch of other stuff. Har.
After the movie, we began a rather intricate series of vehicular choreography. We decided that it would be fun to watch "The Wizard of Oz" with Pink Floyd, so we first went to Blockbuster to rent Wizard. I impulsively bought the FotR DVD as well. Hurrah! Then, because I unconsciously left in the direction of my (and Elizabeth's) house, rather than Marcelina's house, we dropped off all our stuff. Then, we went to dinner at Zuzu's, a Mexican restaurant, where we argued over who was the most corrupt. I argued that Marcelina and Elizabeth were the most corrupt, as a result of their summertime snogfests. Marcelina, Elizabeth, and Chungy declared that I was the most corrupt, as I had seen naked men in my figure drawing exploits at Parsons. I disagreed, saying that I had now been desentized against the male figure, and that if anyone ever tried to seduce me, I would pull out my sketchbook. We all made fun of Chungy for being embarrassed about the practically nonexistent nude scenes in "Read My Lips". It was amusing. Next, we went to Marcelina's house, where Elizabeth, Chungy, and I watched movies about pie (doubleposted in Blogspotting) while Marcelina searched the house for her "Dark Side of the Moon" CD. Eventually, she gave up, and we had to settle for the LP. Fortunately, the record player is 5 feet away from the TV, so it all worked out. Elizabeth went back to her house to get some Ben&Jerry's, at Chungy's request, Chungy drove herself to my house to have her car handy, and Marcelina and I drove back in my car, as she's been generally forbidden from operating motor vehicles due to her crash safety record. I got online to look up when you were supposed to start and flip the record and such, only to find that it doesn't work with the LP due to the time required to flip. We decided to try anyway, as we had already rented the movie. Of course, the four of us were mystified as to how to operate my dad's record player. There are so few knobs and switches -- it's crazy. We tried every switch on the player, to no avail. It had always been my dad operating it in the past; he never told me how to work it. We called my mom downstairs, who was equally stumped, and she called down my dad, whom I hadn't realized was home. I didn't see how he finally got it to work, but he did. Yay dad. We spent about 10 minutes trying to get the two in sync until we were satisfied. The power of suggestion is a wonderful thing. We spent all of Side One pathetically marvelling at coincidences such as "It looks like Toto is laughing!" and "If that bell had been a second later, it would have corresponded with the appearance of the witch's bicycle!". We are all complete freaks. Of course, just as Dorothy was about to leave her house to enter the world of Technicolor, Side One ended. We stared. Marcelina flipped the record as I paused the film, but then none of us had the faintest idea how to get the turntable going again. We eventually gave up and watched FotR, resolving to find a CD copy of "Dark Side of the Moon" and try again later. Ah, well. It was fun while it lasted. The entirety of LotR was spent in a state of MST3K, about 3/4 of the comments in reference to Cassie's "Very Secret Diaries". Pure genius, that. I lamented not getting to meet her in NYC. I showed Marcelina and Elizabeth (Chungy had left halfway through Wizard) my "Still the Prettiest" shirt and Megs' scantily clad hobbit picture. They loved them. After it was over, we watched the Two Towers preview, which was absolute gravy. And Jo is right, I absolutely adore Pippin now. Too cute! ::hearts:: Afterwards, Elizabeth drove Marcelina home, and I went to sleep. Hurrah and yayfun! Priscilla said at 12:14 PM

Priscilla said at 2:18 PM Alicey can testify to the fact that Britt's (PDM, that is) belated b-day card is going fabulously. I'm thrilled at how well it's going! Gah, I'm so happy I'm using digital media. If I had been using traditional media, I couldn't bear to part with it!

My Tealin!love has just grown exponentially. Wanna see why?
Priscilla said at 11:14 PM My hobbits! My lovely hobbits! My scantily-clad, loincloth-wearing hobbits have arrived! Thank you, Megs! Muchas smoochies and schnoogleglomps abound!
It looks a hundred times better in person: I heart you, Megs! Priscilla said at 4:01 PM Seej is going to burn me a copy of her Invader Zim collection as a "thank you" for the autographed Coraline I sent her! Hearts abound! I loff you! *mad schnoogles*
Priscilla said at 3:12 PM Whee! Finished reading all my LJ friends entries! Go me! And I finally ordered my copy of Sundowner, so all is merry.
Well, most things are merry. This morning, I had my senior yearbook photos taken, so I got all glammed up with a hairtrim (curly this time, rather than straight) and evil makeup of doom. Unfortunately, when Kurt (the hairdresser) was finishing up, he accidentally touched my forehead with the curling iron. I jerked back immediately, so the burn wasn't too bad, but still, I have this odd, pallid, discolored splotch on my left temple. Not fun. Especially because my mom kept touching it. Ouch. Fortunately, the photographer said that he doubted it would show up in the pictures, so it's all good. *nods and applies aloe to her forehead* Bah. But Kurt is cool, so I forgive him. Hah, he's actually the Bush girls' hairdresser, too. Yet another amusing aspect of living in Dallas! My sister was in the twins' class. Grandparents Day was always entertaining because of all Bush Sr.'s bodyguards. Har! Good times, good times. Priscilla said at 2:56 PM Wow. My Beatles calendar is still on June. I need to get back up to speed. ::turns the page and sighs happily:: Oh, July's John is too cute for words...
Priscilla said at 2:04 PM Renata is my herd. ::basks in the Tori-ness:: She gave me a Tori mix CD and the TTB and Hair OBCRs. Yayfun!
And everyone must watch The Grubbs, starring my friend Marcelina's older brother. Yo! Huzzah, Ricardo Antonio Chavira as Coach Garra. ::does the Marcelina's brother dance:: He's also been in several episodes of "6 Feet Under", which is just gravy. Hurrah! Priscilla said at 1:59 PM Someone is my hero. Do they know that "HP Meets the Movies" is this month's HP Monthly subject?
Priscilla said at 1:54 PM Duh, I forgot to mention this here. The "Dear God Why?" saga continues as we take a glance at the Very Secret Diary of

Alicey insisted I scan something, but my paintings and drawings from class are huge and I'm not in the mood to piece them together in the scanner bed, so here are some doodles from my sketchbook. For Renata, Delirium and Death (Sandman), and for everyone and no one in particular, a random girl that I considered turning into Angua, but decided against. Hurrah. And there was much rejoicing.
Priscilla said at 10:55 PM Tealin! Squee!
Priscilla said at 9:42 PM Oh, this is too amusing. The Hockaday fall play is "Nightwatch". Of course, it's Shirley Jackson's take rather than Terry Pratchett's, but I am still fully entitled to be amused. Muah.
Priscilla said at 7:01 PM I'M ALIVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
I've been travelling since 5AM this morning, and now it's nearly 7. 15 hours, if you factor in time difference. Jolly good. Alicey, if you don't get on Y!M soon, I will cry. Priscilla said at 6:49 PM

Oh, Renata -- I keep meaning to ask you about this. Why "Hail Balthus"? I'm confused.
And let it be said that the phrase "Blimp of Evil" is one of the most wonderful phrases in musical history. Priscilla said at 3:30 PM No way! Please, not the stake hitch. It's a part of who I am...
Priscilla said at 11:20 AM Muaha. Reading Men at Arms to parents can be fun.
Quote of the Day: "I can't believe Angua was such a brazen hussy." I love you, Mom. Priscilla said at 11:05 AM

Foom. I am alive! Ta-da! My college trip of Doom is over, finally! Now it's just a few days at Martha's Vineyard, and I'll be hooooooome! Gah, I've missed home. It's horrifying, living life from day to day, never knowing where your next internet fix is going to come from... I feel like a druggie. I'll finally get some decent time to work on the thousands of gifts I owe everybody. Brenna... Britt... Brenna again... gravy. Though I must admit, I'm really looking forward to my scantily-clad hobbits from Megs. Muaha. And upon my return home, my Tori CD copies from Renata. ::hearts:: I drew Death and Delirium! I can pretend they were a gift for you! (I originally wrote that as "Renata's Tori burns". That sounds painful.) My love for "Little Earthquakes" continues to grow.
Which Member of the Endless Are You? So true. I went into the test thinking I'd get Death, as reading "The High Cost of Living" made me think we were rather similar, personality-wise, but from the quiz questions, Delirium clearly won out. Jolly good. Woah! Dude! I'm currently in the Business Office at the Cornell Club, fairly close to the front desk. I can hear the bellman talking to my mom on speakerphone, who is up in our room, complaining about the fan. That was surreal. (Later: ha, we got moved to the neighboring room) And we have tickets for Chicago for tomorrow, which is gravy. And of course, though I must say that though it was enjoyable, Thoroughly Modern Millie (which I saw just before leaving New York) was slightly disappointing. Most of the audience loved it, but I found myself just sitting in my seat and glowering as they stole idea after idea from Men at Arms. The strains of "I've Seen His Face Before" have never left the privacy of my own head, and I had no way of ever encountering Millie's score before, but there she was onstage nonetheless, belting out song whose first few measures (and several words) were nearly identical. "No way", I said to myself, provoking my Aunt Phyllis to look at me strangely, then turn back to the show. Also, the notion of singing briefly in dwarfish (with projected subtitles) in "My Kind of Town" suddenly seemed less novel as TMM's Chinese brothers merrily reprised a song in fluent Mandarin. I seem to have noticed a lot more as a was watching the show, but on the most part, I've forgotten the numerous counts now. Grr, say I. Hiss. And now I try to catch up with thousands, nay millions, of LJ friend entries. Curse you all! How dare you be so insightful and entertaining! Growl. Saw "Signs" and "Austin Powers III" on the same night. Why don't movies learn? Aliens are only scary if you never see them. Our boy looked like the Grinch. Good gravy. Okay, dinnertime. G'bye, all! I'll be back soon. Priscilla said at 6:59 PM

No, woman, I am no longer in NY. I'm currently at Yale (Hey, Bulldog!), the second stop in my College Trip of Doom. First was my beloved Penn, which remains lodged in my top-notch spot due to their droolworthy Digital Media and Design program (DMD). Be still, my heart! ::swoons::
I don't have much time, as I probably have to get off this computer soon (I doubt I'm even supposed to be checking my logs and email and such in the first place, ha), so meh. Car trips are made merrier through "Men at Arms", as my dad wasn't taking to "Hogfather". This is paralleled with a play-by-play song list summary, which is enjoyable. Tra la. At the Penn bookstore, I found a copy of "Reaper Man" (including the uberjoyous "Night Watch" preview) to re-complete my collection, so all is good. Oh--and Magsby, can I keep him? Stupid pay computer... ::kicks::
Priscilla said at 9:00 PM “Now we sing dis stupid song!
Sing it as we run along! Why we sing dis we don’t know! We can’t made her words rhyme prop’ly!” “Sound off” “One!Two!” “Sound off!” “Many!Lots!” “Sound off!” “Er… what?” May all the people in the world bow down and shamelessly worship Brenna. ::hearts:: You've made my day thrice-over!
