AARON was my first boyfriend and first kiss. We acted in "Annie Get Your Gun" and "Lady in the Dark" together. After a few months of awkward dating, we decided we liked our dynamic much better as friends, so we broke up. We're both now in the Ensemble of Little Shop of Horrors.
	ARI is another of my geekish friends at Penn. We tend to be in a lot of the same classes, as he's a CSE major.
	DANIEL is one of our Boys. He's our Good Jewish Boy, and he's in a band. As an amusing anecdote, one stressful afternoon during Reading Days, he randomly agreed to let me take a picture of him in a negligee for 5 bucks.
	DEEP (Deepshikha) was one of my roommates sophomore year. She's now an RA on the floor below us. She is Indian, Pre-Med, and a severe hottie. Every Sunday, our group of friends (female) gathers in her room to watch Gray's Anatomy.
	ERIC is another DMDer and a Peer Advisor. He's into Improv and Penn's SIGGRAPH chapter. We were in the same Psyc class, and now we're in Figure Modeling together. Will sparks fly? Only time will tell!
	KO (Terra) is easily my closest friend at Penn. We were roommate-roommates last year, and we are actual roommates this year. Eerily enough, she knew me through fandom before we actually met. She's the most politically active person I know, and her goal is to be governor of New Mexico, and then hopefully go on to the Presidency. More power to her! She will have the biggest boobs in Presidential history.
	MATT is one of our Boys. He is very tall. We have yet to encounter a female who does not immediately form a crush on him upon meeting him.
	NIKKI (Nicole) was our "black sheep" roommate Sophomore year, as she is a Republican, a Whartonite (Wharton is Penn's renowned business school and the root of all evil in the Western hemisphere), and Fraternity girl (yes, Fraternity). We still loff her, however, because she has pretty hair and an adorable pet turtle named Filter that will grow to enormous size and destroy Tokyo.
	WILL was in my Networked Life class last semester, and he gets props for giving me a major helping hand when I needed it. We share many similar interests, including Buffy, Firefly, Star Wars, and other forms of sci-fi geekery.

	ASHLEY is my former minion. She rocks my socks. In high school, we took great joy in corrupting her. She's now at the Olin School of Engineering.
	BURKHEAD/LIZZIEBETH (Elizabeth B.) lives 3 houses down from me. Her purpose in life is to counter my ever-inflating ego. She's a songwriter and Marcelina's best friend of countless years. She goes to Davidson.
	CHERISE is one of the funniest people I know. She now attends Wellesley.
	CHRISTINE is keen. We make fun of her nonexistent sense of direction. She goes to Reed.
	CHUNGY (Sarah Chung) is my bestest friend in the whole entire world! We plan on being crazed spinsters when we grow up. My group of friends' favourite pasttime is corrupting her, although after a semester at Oxford, I fear the pupil has overcome the master. She goes to Wash U.
	MACKENZIE lives on a farm! Yippee! She drives the most enormous truck on the face of the planet and she has a huge dog that's bigger than she is. She goes to Harvey Mudd.
	MARCELINA is cuter than you are. She has excellent taste in music, which I hope will rub off on me. She has a really high speaking voice. My nicknames for her include "Mein Schlienen" and "Sleeny Todd". She attends Bryn Mawr, only a short train ride from Penn, and she has a (insert name of close relation) that's one of the lead actors on (insert name of phenomenally popular TV show).
	MIMI is yet another of the thronging masses that I have converted to Discworld fans. We used to carpool together.
	RACHEL B. is president of more geekish Sci-Fi clubs than you could shake a stick at. She introduced me to Firefly, Buffy, and Wonderfalls and got me a ticket for the first Serenity preview screening, and for this I will be forever grateful.

People Online

	ALICEY (Alice Wack) is one of my best online friends, artists, and webloggers. She's one of the nicest and coolest people I know, and her skills with colored pencil and CG are unparalleled. We collabbed on the DV2003 calendar and we met at Nimbus 2003, then again over the Christmas holidays. We hope to get a chance to hang out again this summer! She goes to LSU and has an adorable boyfriend named Wendel.
	ANN is the funniest person I know. Worship her. She's a fabulous artist, too. A goddess of all natural media from collage to markers to dolls to stamps to Percy knows what else.
	KELL inspired me to do practically everything I love: CGing, weblogging, using a Wacom tablet, creating an art website, coloring with crayon, cosplaying, and doing countless other things. I heart Kell.
	MAGSBY (Maggie Bradshaw) draws the sexiest men on earth. She collabbed with Mon, Alicey, and me on DV2003, and we met at Nimbus 2003, then again over Christmas.
	MONICA (Starling) is a hot Latina from Argentina, and one of my fanart partners in crime. We got to be good friends through Tanja's HP Valentines Day Project, and we have since collaborated on a bookmarks series, several main page graphics for Fictionalley.org, and the DV 2003 Calendar. If I could go anywhere in the world, I would go to Argentina to meet her.
	REBECCA G. is the most creative person I know. She makes a lot of her own clothes and she's a fabulous artist. We and Tanja met in New York last summer for our "First We Take Manhattan!" meetup. We met again during the last weekend of her NYC internship, then in Philly the first week of her NYC internship the next year.
	REBECCA M. is a kindred spirit, in the sense that we both love Weird Al, Terry Pratchett, Harry Potter, Invader Zim, HHGTG, and countless other sources of amusement. She's an awesome artist, and she's excellent at mining the latest fandom news and sharing it with the world. She is the goddess of screencaps.
	RENATA - Is my best and oldest friend online. Owner/Co-creator of RML. Since meeting online in 7th grade, we've met thrice. She introduced me to Tori Amos and various other fabulous artists, and I introduced her to Terry Pratchett. Very good tradeoff. She coined most of the language I use, such as "frowl" and "___ of doom". She's obsessed with pirates, zombies, The Daily Show, John Kerry + kittens, and Constantine on American Idol.
	SANNALI is another of my HP and Discworld artist friends. She's very wholesome.
	TANJA (Tatjana Suhinina) is my wife. We and Rebecca met in New York last summer.

Groups, etc.

• McANALLY'S - Fills some of the RML-shaped hole in my heart. It's a high-traffic email list centering on Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files, but we also talk about other forms of sci-fi/fantasy geekery.
• RML - Renata's Miscellaneous List. Formerly, an incredibly high traffic email list for bored theatre geeks. We talked about anything. Now dead.
• SIGGRAPH -- Stands for "Special Interest Group: Graphics". It's a national organization, but most likely, whenever I refer to it in my blog, I'm talking about the Penn chapter. They're currently working on a short film called "Dust to Dust", referred to as "Dusty", about an epic battle between a dust ball and a vacuum cleaner. I keep resolving to go to meetings, but they always tend to conflict with something else.
