This entry is solely for the purpose of testing my new Blog Voices thingy. Hurrah! Now go away!
I just saw 2 A Capella groups perform in 2 days. I can die happy now! One was the Blue and White, an all-girls groups, and the other was the Claremont Shades, a coed group. They were both fantastic, but I especially loved the Shades. I can’t wait for their CD to come out! Hurrah! Then I got to hang out with Laura, a former JET (an engineering club I belong to), and she gave me a tour of the campus, then we went to dinner. Quite nifty.
Save me!!! I’m going slowly insane. I’m visiting my sister in California, and I’m going through computer withdrawl even though I have access to my sister’s computer whenever I want! And hers is faster and cooler than mine! Gah, what’s wrong with society? The people who use the internet just for chatting and buying stuff get cooler computers than the complete Nerds of America (TM)? Oy, this is annoying. Oh well. I’m going to finish checking my 90something emails.
Book: The Doomsday Book by Connie Willis and Sabriel by Garth Nix
Movie: Il Postino (the Postman). We’re watching Les Mis in French class
CD: Forbidden Broadway: 2001
Vacuum: erm… schoolwork?
We had to write sonnets in English class…
After a weary day
I return to you
I am welcomed by your familiar face
I am bathed in your radiant glow
I stay awake late at night in your company
I dream of you as I sleep
And when I arise in the morning,
I smile as my eyes fall on you
My soul aches when we are apart
My heart leaps at our afternoon reunion.
My friends could never understand my affection,
But I could never resist the strong, silent “type”.
My computer, my love
I am lost without you
Well, I got FB2001, but I’m officially disappointed. They cut a bunch of my favorite songs, and there were just so many visual gags in the show that the CD isn’t nearly as funny. ::goes off to frowl:: Ah well. I met a fellow sci-fi nut in “How to Succeed” rehearsals, so all is well in the world.
Forbidden Broadway 2001: A Spoof Odyssey is available on CD! ::bugs parents to get her a copy::
I just came back from the first rehearsal of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”, and I’m exhaused. And I have 50 billion tests tomorrow. And I have 260 emails. And the JETS will beat their way to my doorstep with pitchforks and torches if I don’t update the website this week…
…that’s it, I’m going to bed.
VOTE for #23. Come on, you know you want to.
::sends telepathic bootiekick waves to Mike:: Stop being a jerk to Danna! Ermmm…. it might be nice to know who I’m talking to. ::sigh:: That’s just the difficulties of being a Defender of RMLers (TM).
Does anyone care?:
Movie: Shadow of the Vampire. Sucks. Don’t see it.
Book: The Amber Spyglass. Awesome. I wish I had a monkey! Just like Mrs. Coulter! Only hers is evil, and I want mine to be good.
CD: Aida. I stole my mom’s copy because I lost mind. (my, that’s an interesting typo)
Free Time Vacuum: The mirror for my website. I don’t trust stas.net any further than I could throw Hagrid. And the Draco Sinister manga. And schoolwork, of course!
