Go buy Tanja shirts. Now. ::ponders how she’s going to convince her parents to let her get new cool stuff::
I got to stop by Blockbuster this evening after dinner. (Taco Diner — best tortilla soup and nachos in Dallas, in my opinion. Let’s see them print that in their advertising campaign!) I picked up The Producers and Tick, Tick … Boom. At the moment I’m listening to TTB. From listening to the first few songs so far, it’s no suprise that it was written by the same man as RENT. ::happily listens away::
Happy 1/2 birthday to Tanja! I’m still working on your and Rebecca’s cards. Apologies for lateness!
Sidenote to Ann: Your cards for Rebecca and Tanja are so amazingly froody that my frantic babbling couldn’t even begin to do them justice. You get cookie points.
No WAY! This is like a dream come true! YAAAAAAAYYY! I was just pondering about this the other day. They’re making a movie out of “Good Omens”, the work of genius by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. And it’s being directed by former Python Terry Gilliam! ::dances:: I just hope it makes the translation well. Like Douglas Adams and Dave Barry, a whole lot of the humor is in the commentary, as opposed to the actual action. I’m fairly confident that Gilliam can pull it off, though. ::nods:: Joy, joy, joy, joy…
::screamsqueals loudly:: It’s Procent and Bob on Kell’s bookmark for Tanja! YAY! ::does the happy dance of groovyness::
I love the knowledge that I can work in natural media now. It gives me so much more confidence! This evening, I was playing with a ruler I got at the BEST kickoff (they like to give us random Raytheon stuff. It’s really cool.), and I realized that that I could take it apart and change out the little piece of paper advertizing Raytheon. I pulled the cover off and saw that the Raytheon ad was just two pieces of 12×1.5″ paper, with printing on one side and a white back. I flipped the papers around and smiled at the potential niftiness that awaited me. Pencil and crayon, definitely. Now I just need to figure out how to print onto the paper slip things that came in the ruler, as whenever I try to use crayon on pencil, it gets messy and smeary and annoying. (I printed a duplicate when I went to color my Men at Arms picture.) I suppose I could ink my sketch, but I really don’t like strong outlines and frankly, I’m not very good at inking. I suppose I’ll draw something, scan it in, and print it in two pieces, then glue the whole thing together. Or maybe I could make a photocopy and save myself the trouble. I’ll have to see how well Xeroxes hold up under crayon.
If this is a success, I’ll have to ask the other JETS if they kept their rulers. I don’t see why they wouldn’t. There were five of us, so that makes ten joyous pieces of art! Yay! Now I just need to figure out what to draw!
Happy Birthday to Rebecca! I’ll be starting on your card any time now! ::curses SAT::
::looks at depressingly small number of comments and shakes her head sadly:: Is there any reason why no one is blogging today? It’s all lonely!
Priscilla’s CD Wishlist:
1. Tick, Tick … Boom!
2. The Producers
3. anything by Christine Lavin

I wonder if I could find time tomorrow to pick up TTB or The Producers… That would be nice. ::nods::
::glares at everyone not commenting religiously in her blog::
::gives Sannali a smile for using the word “flailing”::
