I now adore cleaning my room. Sort of. Among other things, I found:
- Beatles’ “Yellow Submarine”, which includes several songs I had long forgotten existed
- A recording of my group’s A Capella songs from Explo (been idly wondering where this has been for ages)
- My group’s A Cappella stuff from MTC (ditto)
- The MTC Tape (containing “Broom and Sponge”, the greatest song in world history)
- Christine Lavin: “What Was I Thinking?” (Live at the Cactus Cafe)
- Tom Lehrer Revisited
- And more! Updates when I figure out what all the unlabled tapes are.
My only source of irritation at the moment is that I had been writing a really nifty bit of music for MAA, only to have my mom come in before I had recorded it and proceed to jabber at me until I forgot every note. Still trying to remember what was going on… Grr. It was showtuney! I liked it! Meh. I think that I’ll take a blank tape and dub a copy of my pre-existing MAA stuff. I’ve already filled up one side of a 90 minute cassette. It would be tragic if I lost a sole copy of this tape to petty New York City theivery.
