Hmm. Now leaning back towards “The Most Happy Fella.” Bah, this is going to be another of those “Twelfth Night vs. The Little Prince” things, where I eventually decide by picking a random track on my CD player and going to a certain audition based on whether it’s odd or even, isn’t it?

Edit: Read a plot summary of “The Most Happy Fella,” and my mind has done a 180. Definitely sticking with this. It’s much more interesting and fun than I thought it was originally. And the music is by the guy that did “How to Succeed” and “Guys and Dolls,” what’s not to like? And it’s more operatic and suited to my voice, rather than “Zombie Prom”‘s high belt. Of course, there’s not a lot of likelihood that I’ll get the role I want (Cleo), but I just have to keep reminding myself “big fish, small pond, little fish, big pond” and I’ll be okay. The Penn Singers know I’m really excited about trying out for their troupe, so that’s a nod in my favor, and even if I don’t get a role, at least they’ll know I’m committed and still consider me for “The Gondoliers” in the Spring. So yay!
