This morning, I awoke with a start. I looked at the clock: 9:12 (Rachel’s clock is 15 minutes fast).
There was a perfect moment of crystallized half-awake terror.
My thought processes: Oh dear god. 9:12. My first class starts at 9. Oh my god, Computer Science. MY MIDTERM!
Then: Wait… I’m not taking Art History anymore. My first class starts at 11, not 9.
Then: Oh. Today is Thursday, not Friday. My first class starts at noon. My midterm is tomorrow. Everything is okay.
I’d love to go to sleep for an extra two hours, but evil workmen are playing with chainsaws RIGHT OUTSIDE MY WINDOW. Gah, what else do they need to do, other than planting grass? I thought the construction was more-or-less finished! Aaaaarg.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
My audio was rather wonky, but the PoA trailer IS SO AMAZINGLY COOL! Oooh, I definitely think I’m going to like Alfonso Cuaron’s direction. Hurrah, a Harry Potter movie not ridiculously twee!
Still looking forward to “The Brotherly Embrace.” Muahaha.
EDIT: Okay, Lupin no longer looks like Hitler. Instead, he reminds me of The Duke from Moulin Rouge. Make the nasty moustache go away, mommy!
The PoA Trailer has arrived!
Now why am I the only person in Fandom having trouble downloading it?
Wow! I finished my scarf just in time! Tomorrow and Friday will be in the thirties, hovering just above freezing. Looks like we’re not breaking 55 for at least a week. Mmm, Philadelphia.
::laughs::
The thing I love about the Onion is that it’s so true.
W00t! Just finished the scarf that I started at the Christine Lavin concert! It’s 8 1/2 feet long, which makes it my longest scarf to date. I’ve been knitting up a storm the past few days, as Philly temperatures have taken a sudden plunge, and tonight it’s done! It’s nice to learn that I can knit and read fanfic at the same time. Next, I think I’ll try making something else, like a hat. Hats are nice… Of course, I already have a lovely hat, but that’s never stopped me before.
And of course, I’ll need more yarn. Maybe I’ll go yarn shopping next weekend, to celebrate the end of midterms. Good plan.
Arr, where be the comment fields? ::pokes BlogBack::
EDIT: Ah, there we go.
There are no words.
Whoo! It turns out Carmen is as big of a Little Shop of Horrors fan as I am! We have vowed to take a train up to New York one weekend and see it. And while we’re at it, a bit of Hugh Jackman stalkage would not go amiss. Perhaps Idina Menzel, too, so I could get her to sign my RENT book. (I heard she’s fabulous in Wicked, which is definitely on my to-see list.) And we could make fun of the enormous crowds outside Nine trying to get a glimpse of Antonio Banderas. Ha.
So, yes. And we will take Tricia with us, because she has never seen LSoH. Hurrah!
