A quarter to midnight, Ko was watching The Two Towers:EE Commentary, and she got to the bit where Billy and Dom natter on what kind of dessert is comparable to their return after fifty minutes of non-Merry and Pippin action. I, working diligently on my fairy tales paper, went to see what she was giggling about, and we listened to the clip together.

I mused, “Mmmm, Pie.”

Ko looked at me. “Let’s get some.”

I grinned. “Let’s get some!”

So we did. We went to Fresh Grocer and got pie. Two pies, actually, but if you mention this to us we will deny it and claim it was only one. Just because I prefer Apple and she prefers Blueberry does not merit buying two pies! Also whipped cream.

We are so awesome. The rest of my life is going to suck. Where else am I going to find a roommate that will go out with me for almost-midnight pie runs after I graduate? I think that needs to be my top criterion in a potential boyfriend.

P.S. The pie was delicious. Penn friends (Penn pals? Too easy), feel free to come by and eat some! It’s not like Ko and I are going to be able to finish two pies one pie in the tree days we have before we go home.

It’s official! Nathan has the lead in Drive! And the newest issue of SciFi Magazine has an article on The Dresden Files and pictures, one of which makes my shipper’s heart go pitter-pat. Becky scanned all the images and sent them to me. And I totally kicked butt on my Film exam, and I got an A- on my Serenity paper! Oh, Happy Hanukkah, one and all!

*squeals* Rumor has it, they’re recasting Tim Minear’s “Drive,” and they’re putting Nathan Fillion in the lead role! Oh, suddenly it doesn’t matter that I just totally flunked a math exam. Nathan Fillion! On my TV! On another show Executive Produced by Tim Minear! JOY!

Make that FOUR new Dresden ads in the past two days! Check them all out here.

Speaking of, here’s A Dresden Ad I’d Pay Money To See:

Plain white background. Three people enter.

Justin Long: I’m a Mac.
John Hodgman: And I’m a PC.
Paul Blackthorne: And I’m Harry Dresden.
*Justin Long and John Hodgman keel over head*

And now, my Fairytales Exam!

Happy Birthday, Chungy and Becky! So why am I getting all the presents? Two additional Dresden promos made their way to the internet last night!

Promo 3, “24 Hours”
Promo 4, “Different Kind of Detective”
And we suspect there may be a fifth out there.

A list of all teasers and promos to date can be found here.

By the way, Jimmy? If you mention the previous post to John, I may have to kill you. And I will keep your zombie shirt for MYSELF. This is a course of action that will make nobody happy. I trust you will do the right thing.

John Cassaday thinks I’m funny. John Cassaday, who has been collaborating with Joss Whedon for the past two years or so, thinks I’m funny. And he shook my hand for what had to have been a full minute. It felt longer. That graceful yet manly hand, capable of creating such phenomenal art, was in contact with mine for a full minute.

I’ll blog about the rest of my New York adventures celebrating Jimmy’s birthday later. Probably not tomorrow, as I have a ridiculous amount of stuff to accomplish, but soon. I just thought you should know that John Cassaday thinks I’m funny.

*squeaks*

I think the Starbuck/Apollo shippers’ slogan should be “Nobody doesn’t like Kara/Lee!”

Except for the possible exception of me, as I find them tiresome. :D

Good episode last night, Jane. Good episode!

Yay! I finally mustered the courage reread my Serenity paper for the first time now that I’m no longer sleep-deprived, and it is surprisingly awesome! Bravo me! I think I’ll post it online somewhere after I get it back from my professor.
