  • 11:47:19: Sweet! My computer is ready for pickup! Repairs usually take 5-7 days, but this time I got the call after 25 hours. I love Apple.
  • 14:10:25: At the Apple store to pick up laptop, masquerading once more as “Brenda.”
  • 15:25:54: Picked up some stuff at Bed Bath & Beyond, now cabbing it home. Driver’s name is Jabba.
  • 17:02:17: Installing Snow Leopard and rewatching “The Fall.” Good day.

  • 21:17:02: FRAK. Didn’t export playlists–just assumed I could import the iTunes library file and restore them that way. Any way I can get them back?
  • 21:44:35: HAHA! I tried importing the xml library file instead on the proprietary itl file, and it reconstructed the whole thing!
  • 21:46:52: Though I feel quite brainy for figuring out a way to excavate playlist contents by viewing the xml file in a text editor
