I haven’t really been in a blogging mood recently, but I feel a brief recap is fitting.

Firstly, Ko’s and my room could kick your room’s shiny rear end. So geekish, and so pretty! Pictures soon to come, as soon as my new bed stuff arrives. And my Serenity poster that I ordered the other day on eBay! Of course, because that’s just my luck, I had to order it the same day they released the new International Poster. Anyway, my new bed stuff is gooooooorgeous, and I got everything at ridiculously good prices. I win at shopping!

In general, I’m quite pleased with my classes this semester. Today was our first day! The Poli Sci course I signed up for as a filler actually looks quite cool, so I definitely won’t be disappointed if I don’t get into the more advanced class. Either way, the timing of my schedule works swimmingly. In case I didn’t post before, I’m taking: Cinema Production, Mathematics of Computer Science II, Psychology of Perception, Intro to American Politics, and Physics.

New York was utterly awesome. Mom and I shopped long past the point we should have dropped. We also saw the Matisse exhibit at the Met, which was fantastic. Spamalot was crazy fun, yet disappointing at the same time. I wanted to shout, “Come on, Eric Idle! You’re a much better songwriter than this!” And format-wise, a musical about knights is a lot less funny than a bunch of knights that randomly burst into song. Of course, all this was offset by the presence of Alan Tudyk who is utterly hilarious beyond words. Alas, terrible luck, I didn’t get to meet him. But I did pass a note detailing next month’s Pennsylvania Shindig to one of the security guys, and he said he’d get it to Alan. It’s a long shot, but there’s no harm trying. We also saw The Light in the Piazza, which had utterly gorgeous staging. I was built up a bit too much for it, but I still really enjoyed it.
