Ooh! And I got a copy of the first issue of the Serenity comic yesterday. I chose the Jayne cover, as I’ve never been fond of Inara and the Mal cover is just scary.

Aside: Doesn’t Mal have blue eyes? Silly comic colorists that don’t check up on these things… But of course, that’s irrelevant compared to the total “HUH?” that is Inara’s appearance.

Also, I know Joss wrote the story, but canonically, Simon isn’t oblivious to Kaylee’s affections. He just is totally clueless when it comes to responding to them. She just needs to get him drunk again. That would help.
