Who would have believed it? After 6 months of silence, Jen updated The Mystic Realm twice in under a week! She has some lovely, lovely stuff, so go check it out!
Why does my mom assume that just because I’m on the computer, I’m CGing stuff? I was looking up colleges, and she starts ragging on me about not goofing off! Fwah!
Why the bloody fruitbats did that message post twice? I corrected it, of course.
Hurrah, yet another daily adventure! As you probably know by now, every day after school I have rehearsals for “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”. Usually, Taylor Cornell, another girl in the musical, drives me over to Jesuit (where the play is located) for rehearsal. Today, she couldn’t drive me, so I sought out another cast member, Margaret Laney, to drive me. She told me to call her and remind her to pick me up, because she was leaving early thanks to her lack of a last period class. She knew she was supposed to pick me up at 3:45. At 3:47, I called her, and SHE WAS STILL AT HOME! She told me she’d be there in about 15-20 minutes, and I reminded her we all had to be AT JESUIT at 4. She changed it to 5-10 minutes. A few minutes later, Taylor pulls up and asks me if I need a ride. I told her that Margaret was coming to pick me up, but I decided to try to call Margaret anyway to see if I could tell her not to pick me up so that I could go with Taylor. Evidently Margaret had already left, and I couldn’t reach her. I turned to tell Taylor, but… she had vanished. I knew she hadn’t gone, because she still thought I was going with her. Then my friend Rachel B showed up and asked if I need a ride! I told her that Margaret is coming (even though it’s about 3:55 at this point). Then Taylor suddenly appreared again, and I told her that I couldn’t reach Margaret. I conversed with Rachel for a while. Fun stuff. Then at 4, Margaret finally pulled up. We headed over to Jesuit, nearly killing several pedestrians on the way, and fond that there were huge masses of people on the “grassy knoll” in front of the school. We spoted Doug, one of the actors, among them. Then we saw Ricky, the stage manager who looks shockingly like Percy Weasley, and waved him down. He explained that the constuction workers hit a natural gas line and the school had to be evacuated. Great. So we met up with Miss Felice (the director) and some of the cast members, and all just sat, waiting, on the grassy knoll. I showed Joanne (my best friend in the play) some of my mangas for X/1999, then showed them to John (my other great friend in the play. He has the highest male voice I’ve ever seen) as well when he arrived. John and I decided we’d sing as much high stuff as possible while we were waiting. We got a lot of strange looks from the passersby, plus anyone within a fair distance of where we were standing. Miss Felice and Miss Morton (the accompanyist. infinitely nifty) applauded. At about 4:30, it became obvious that we weren’t going to get to rehearse that day, so Miss Felice dismissed us. Unfortunately, when my mom picked me up, I noticed she was driving my sister’s car. The horror! My sister’s car is a sure sign that she’s going to make me drive. I hate driving with the rabid passion of a thousand firey suns. So I drove to the car wash, then snuck in the passenger seat afterwards. My mom decided there was too much traffic, and agreed. Hurrah!
Did anyone else watch the first episode of Invader Zim? That has to be the funniest thing I’ve seen in quite some time. ::laughs:: Gir is my hero!
